Built in 1966, Oakbrook Golf Club features hundreds of oak trees and immaculate turf conditions. In 2012, Oakbrook opened its doors to the public after 56 years of private operations. Ryan Moore, PGA Tour professional and Tacoma native, brings his knowledge of championship golf to Oakbrook Golf Club through Ryan Moore Golf ownership, to continually improve the golf course and elevate the overall guest experience. Through Ryan’s ties to the local community, Oakbrook Golf Club is dedicated to increasing the demand for quality golf in the area.
This classic American golf course is accessible for players of all skills levels and a sure treat for anyone who appreciates firm, smooth, and fast greens. The 18 hole, 6,700+ yard championship course takes the average player approximately 4 hours and 15 minutes to complete. Golfers can always take advantage of our practice areas including a driving range, short game area, and putting green. If you’d like to up your game, consider meeting with one of our PGA instructors.

Lake Spanaway Golf Course in Tacoma, Washington is maintained by the Parks and Recreation Services division of Pierce County. From the red tees at just over 5600 yards to the tips at 7014, it is a classic course that appeals to the novice player but also challenges the best players in the region. From the old growth Douglas firs that line every fairway to the well placed bunkers and large greens, Lake Spanaway is truly a wonderful golf experience.
For winter play, Lake Spanaway has a reputation as one of the driest most playable public courses in the area. Over 700 tons of sand was applied to the fairways, tees and greens in 2007 so the golf course holds up very well during the winter months.
In the clubhouse you will find a full service golf shop stocked with merchandise for all skill levels, along with full food and beverage service in the restaurant and a friendly staff in both to attend to your needs.

More than a century ago, golf at Tacoma Country and Golf Club was played exclusively on winter weekends and holidays. Needless to say, things look a bit different today. Our members now enjoy a world-class golf experience all year long, thanks to immaculate conditioning by our Superintendent and his staff.
A traditional 18-hole, tree-lined layout provides a fun and exciting challenge for our members and their guests. Between the engaging course design and the spectacular grounds keeping, this is a course you’ll want to play over and over again.

Whispering Firs features 18 holes and 6,646 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 71.8 and it has a slope rating of 122 on Blue grass. Overall, the golf course is a challenging, yet fair course.
